This is Endeavour's lift off into space last evening. They say it is the last scheduled night launch for the shuttle program which is scheduled to end soon. Many are hoping for an extension.

I took this from the tv and after lift off, went outside and looking east saw the full moon and a brilliant flare of light lifting into the night sky. I tried to photograph it but my poor little Sony digital just wasn't up to the challenge. I have two blobs of light and that's all but trust me, it was a beautiful sight.

Of course there is not any more the same exitement with the launching as it was for the first ones - which I remember - when we were all in front of our screens! It must however be a special feelig when you live close enough to see it all almost in real!

That's a very cool 'tv photo'! It must be great watching that on the screen and also seeing it through your window!

Yes, it is one of the nicest parts of living here in central Florida. I've not gone to the Space Coast to watch one up close. Too much traffic to deal with but to watch it launch on television and then walk out into your front yard and watch it head for space fills you with awe. The night launches are special and this one because of the moon was beautiful and extra special.

Always a thrill to see them go up not only on television, but in person especially. We had toured the Kennedy Space Centre years ago and found it very intriguing. We understand that they have discontinued the tours, true or false?

Cool! Sure doesn't look like you took it from a TV — no scan lines! In fact, it looks like you took it through a window that has raindrops.

We were able to watch on tv as well. I still hold my breath everytime I hear 'go at throttle up'. We have a man on board this time, from Silverton, about 10 miles away.

And I've been reading somewhere that you have a trip coming up, right?
