The luscious rich red strawberries are everywhere right now. It's Strawberry Season and a few miles away in Plant City, Florida they are having the annual Strawberry Festival. I haven't gone for a few years but always enjoyed it, especially for the Strawberry Shortcake. I have friends who go for the music and families go for the rides and the food.
But it's not necessary to attend the festival, just go to the local markets and the strawberries are ripe, plentiful, and cheap.

I want it, I want it... Hummm I love this.
That's a lovely spring offering! We've still got to wait a long time for French strawberries to taste good!
Love spring in Fla!
Bonjour Karen!
Oh Gosh what a delicious picture! Strawberry Season! I see it`s a great time there!I would like to thank you for your visit in Luna`s blog. You are right Luna looks more a snowshoe than Siamese.
When I adopted her she was very sick, living in unfortunate conditions inside a “cage”( like those used for birds). The owner did not want Luna because the race wasn`t pure !Can you believe that?So sad ! In the same time that I met her I felt in love for so nice blue eyes.
Have a nice weekend!
Léia :-)
We were in Cedar Key today and there were lots of strawberries for sale on the way...most probably from Plant City?
They are wonderful!
Looks like a great strawberry season is underway. They look yummy.
I am eternally grateful for frozen strawberries from Florida(during off-season here on the frigid shores of Lake Ontario). Fruit smoothies with lots of these delicious reds help make for a healthy diet.
