It's pumpkin time of year again. I started this blog last November and some of my first posts were of Halloween displays. While browsing in the local antique emporium this past week I came upon this display of terry cloth and fiber pumpkins. Halloween is still a month away but the stores shelves are filled with bags of candy and Halloween decorations.
There are also aisles of Christmas items on display. Way back when we didn't put them out until after Thanksgiving. Now we just have to get it out there early. By the time the actual holiday arrives, we're sick of it and pack it all up the next day.
Feel free to post your opinions.

To be honest, I think holidays are just pushed upon us. I was in a store yesterday and they were putting out Christmas decorations! Life's short enough without rushing through the year!

I even got to buy some Halloween cards in Québec which was very nice! I remember seeing displays like this one in a antiques shop in Oregon, loved it!

I like it, mainly because it is different from our traditional decorations in Brazil.
But I can see a lot of this decoration now here in Luxembourg and I'm enjoying a lot it!

You may be able to see a little of it also in Paris, but not much. A few years ago there were some heavy halloween campaigns here, but it seems to have died out, slowly. Of course it's not a French tradition, so it was maybe a bit too artificial here. Let's see this year! :-)
