This wasn't taken in Kissimmee but in Dade City, another old Florida town. My inherited daughter and I drove there awhile ago and walked around the downtown and checked out some of the stores. I spoted this water thingie and thought it made a good subject for a photo. So here it is..
And I leave for Paris today so this will be my last post until I return.. I've just been too busy and tired to write up 20 days of posts before I go.. I have house guests who are going to take care of my house and I've been showing them all the little and not so little quirks in the house so hopefully they won't have too many problems.
Mine have been piling up.. I'm hoping not an omen of things to come. I have a cold.. my suitcase was way too big and too heavy so I bought another one and dug out an old one so I can pack two lighter ones... the raincoat with hood that I bought came down to my shoes and I looked like a cross between not-so-little Red Riding Hood and Cousin It from the Adams Family.. so off I went to find another. I repacked my suitcases and my cat, Shadow, kept climbing into and on them hoping to keep me from leaving him.
Hopefully today will be a better day...

Bonne vacances à Paris, et amuse toi bien.
Happy holidays to Paris, and amuse yourself.
Looking forward to see you ... now very soon!
Paris weather forecast for tomorrow: Just above freezing point and cloudy. (It will certainly get better!)
Well, I have arrived. I have a cold but am fighting it. So far my biggest problem is this French keyboard.
See you tomorrow Peter.
So, you're going to meet Peter just today. I don't worry about you, he is the best guide you could have found! Enjoy your stay!
Hello…….
Your blog looks awesome with photos. It looks breathe taking and too good for words. I like your blog……
Wishing you "A Merry X'Mas and A Happy New Year''.
I beg your forgiveness for my cutting and pasting – yet constantly reworking – this comment, but there was no way on Earth I would be able to make it around the whole globe to wish everybody a Merry Christmas otherwise.
The magical elves that constitute my staff have demonstrated their lack of respect in either not showing up for work at all, and those that have all seem a little worse for wear, if you catch my drift. All they seem to do is sit around smoking cigarettes that, quite frankly, smell funny. And they play cards and tell dirty jokes rather than do their jobs! Consequently, the reindeer are all filthy and out of shape. And you know, the two rabbits, one wallaby and three wombats I’ve drafted in just don’t cut it as replacements.
Anyway, from myself, Henry and Ezra, have a Merry Christmas/Winter Solstice/Hanukkah/Festivus and a happy New Year!
I hope that all of your holiday photos turn out to be triumphs, your stocking is stuffed full of lots of tasty treats and not coal and that all your pumpkin pies are all as sweet just the way that you like them.
